Default $650 Gibson LP Found on FB Marketplace. Case Queen, in the closet for 10 years

Someone's selling this for $650 in the case, i've seen the studios go for a pretty penny, would this be a good buy/potential flip? or is it pretty much worth what they're asking? It was made in 2007 and here's the link from the facebook marketplace. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...7776060827420/

Nice guitar, good price. I wouldn’t get to flip, as studios aren’t as sought after and the color doesn’t scream buy me. If you want it to have, definitely go for it.

Yeah, meh on a flip. Good price if you want to play it, but I think you'll find yourself breaking even on a flip.

400 would be a good flip.

I saw some studios going for 1.8k, some for like 700ish, just wasn't sure what one this was. Gibsons are confusing as hell to me. But I'm gonna lay off.

    Going for? Or selling for?

    I can put a Squier up for 1.8k, doesn't mean that's what it's worth.

brand new from most retailers is 1.5k, surprised they drop in value that fast after being purchased

They're Gibsons. They get all the money for them new, and their resale sucks. I had a studio and I sold it for $650 exactly a year or so ago. It was an awesome guitar for the money, but they're just not worth much.

Bought my LP Traditional Satin for 1300 used, body and neck binding, trapezoid inlays, I definitely wouldn't pay 1k for a studio. I think what everyone is saying is &650 is an awesome price for the guitar, but if youre looking only to flip it's a more risky move. You could definitely make a little money on it but it depends how much time you want to put into potentially waiting for the right buyer and how much profit you're trying to get to be worth it. Up to you in the end.

Right. I'm mostly trying to just get a feel of a lot of different styles of guitars, make a few bucks off each one, and ultimately use that to buy what I know I'll like in the end. Wouldn't buy anything to flip that I'm not somewhat interested in myself. Never played a Gibson LP before.
