    Default NGD - Aristides 060LR

I haven't posted a NGD in a while, but I couldn't hold this one in.

This is an Aristides 060LR in Anthracite. It has zero wood in it. The body and neck are formed from a proprietary compound designed to mimic the resonance of wood called Arium. The fretboard is Richlite.

Aristides is a Dutch company that has been using this construction method for the last 10 years and their artist list is growing. The craftsmanship is absolutely perfect and as a company they really emphasize customer service. I literally received the guitar from Holland to my door in the US in two days (they are starting to build in-stock inventory in addition to custom builds).

Right now they only offer 6 string guitars left handed, but you can get one as a multi-scale (25-26.1"). I have nothing but good things to say about this guitar. It has a more balanced sound than anything else I own, meaning it isn't dark or bright - it lets every note ring true.

Everything is handmade so it comes with a high end price, especially if you opt for one of their amazing paint jobs. The R in the model name means that this one is unpainted (raw). The material itself is dyed, which reduces the overall cost and still looks killer.

    Check them out at https://www.aristides.com

Thanks. I think they started doing lefties last year and the raw series is fairly new.

I saw the listing for that one, it was a pretty penny! I’d be interested if they have started making one of the 7 string ones. They look like super nice guitars! Congratulations man!
Mustaine: He's brilliant; I love him. But then you see some guy like Bucketheadů Buckethead is probably twice as good a guitar player as me and Slash combined, and can stand having fried chicken rubbed up against his face all night for a couple of hours.

    Love it!

What can you tell us about the neck profile? it doesn't seems to have any options for it and the best sounding/looking guitar in the world is not for me if the neck doesn't feel nice in my hands

That does look like a cool guitar, Congrats. I checked out their site and some of those painted options look awesome.
I'll be curious to hear more about it after you have had some time to play it.

I’m bad at describing necks, but it did remind me of the Caparison Horus. C shaped and rounder at the nut and flattens out as you get to the higher frets. The neck heel is super thin so access is great. Knowing they are somewhat limited by the molds they use, I get the feeling they shoot for the midrange of what most people like and not the extremes (so not wicked thin and definitely not a baseball bat).

They recently posted a new shop tour video that helps explain the whole build process. It’s worth watching because it is unique.
