Default New Solo Album: Traction Control

    Hey guys,

I haven't been all too active on here for a while, in part due to life but also because I've been hard at work on my second album titled "Traction Control". Well, it's finally done.

It's 12 tracks (14 for those who buy the album) of pure, no-compromise guitar music, without commercial ambitions - in other words, it's exactly the way I wanted it to be. One of the joys of having music as a hobby, albeit also a curse because there's little impetus to get out there and promote it so people hear it!

As with my previous album (https://vanyamerc.bandcamp.com/album/this-lousy-t-shirt) the tunes are pretty varied: two tracks are pure metal, two are a little simpler and more digestible, some are shred, and others sort of defy genre. There's even a ridiculous tongue-in-cheek 80's track in there celebrating the worst musical excesses of that decade.

So give it a whirl and let me know what you think - regardless whether you think its worthless, or great, I'd be glad to talk about it and share some stories about the recording and writing of each song!

Mate awesome album with a great variety of music. I notice the great Mattias Eklundh on one track so I guess you have done a few Freak Guitar camps. If this album was by Guthrie Govan I'm sure it would sell millions of copies but you deserve the same respect.

Bought! Your last album is great, so I am excited to hear this! You are the real deal, man. A true professional-level songwriter and guitarist.

Thanks dude! You're correct - I'm an FGC veteran: '04 '09 '10 and maybe another year I can't recall right now. It's been a while! Probably high time I do it again.

Thank you so much man! Really appreciate it. Let me know your favourite track - I'm thinking of recording videos of a couple of songs/live takes as well as full transcriptions with fingerings and pick directions etc (I've gotten most of Kiss down at present).

Really good stuff and superb playing!

I started to follow you in Spotify and added one of the songs to a playlist I'm trying to gather with modern instrumental guitar rock songs (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/10...xWKHKSbNAXljXl)

Greetings from a fellow lefty from the Nordic countries!

Hey Vasuri, thank you so much! What do you think about the album in general? Which song did you add btw? I'm curious to see which ones people like.

The tunes you have recorded display creativity, great guitar tones and a wide variety of techniques that come together in great sounding highly polished music. This is good work and great music.
