Question Opinion - Refinishing a "NEW" vintage guitar?

I know the title seems odd.. new and vintage but yes I was able to find a "new" Black/Maple 91' RG550 never played and stored by collector with the original factory strings for the past 25 years. I found my holy grail RG550 sorta.....

I want to have it professionally painted Desert Yellow using the Dayglo paint (Saturn Yellow) that was discovered to be almost identically similar by Ben Eller (see video). The chances of finding a near mint never played vintage DY RG550 would probably be winning the lotto. I kinda got lucky with the black one.

Has anyone refinished a guitar using the Dayglo paint?
